Job summary

Hy-Vee, Inc. is seeking a Courtesy Clerk in Iowa to assist customers from the register to their car, keep the store clean and organized, and provide a welcoming shopping experience. You will package purchases, stock merchandise, and support multiple store areas while staying active and engaged throughout shifts.

The role emphasizes teamwork, friendly service, and adherence to Hy-Vee policies. Training is provided, and the position is hourly with on-site work in a dynamic retail environment.

Qualifications

• No education or experience requirements; Hy-Vee will provide all the training you need to succeed.
• Frequently stand and walk during a shift in sales and service areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers with a smile, learning their names, and making every visit a great one.
• Package customer purchases and assist customers in transporting them to their vehicle.
• Bring carts in from the parking lot and cart corrals throughout your shift.
• Clean registers, restrooms, the break room, and the backroom, and sweep and mop floors as needed.
• Stock, face, and rotate merchandise, understand shelf tags, and know the location of merchandise in the store and backroom.
• Deliver product to customers and assist in all departments as requested within wage and hour guidelines.
• Shovel, salt, and sand walkways as needed.
• Work with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment.
• Assist in other areas of the store as needed and take on special projects as assigned.
