Job summary

Qualifications

• Follow detailed written or verbal instructions to complete tasks.
• Perform simple addition and subtraction, copy figures, and count accurately.
• Understand and follow directions and communicate supply needs orally or in writing.
• Work with a team to keep the store clean and customers happy.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers with a smile and helping them find items.
• Package customer purchases and assist in transporting them to their vehicle.
• Bring carts in from the parking lot and manage cart corrals.
• Clean registers, restrooms, break room, and backroom; sweep and mop floors as needed.
• Clean the can redemption area and empty recycle bins where applicable.
• Stock, face, rotate merchandise, clean shelves, and know shelf tags and locations.
• Pull product forward to maintain a full, organized appearance.
• Check prices on products as needed.
• Maintain front end supplies including bags and receipt paper.
• Help train new courtesy clerks.
• Deliver product to customers and assist in other departments as needed.
• Shovel, salt, and sand walkways as needed.
• Collaborate with co-workers to ensure customer satisfaction.
