Job summary

Hy-Vee, Inc. is seeking a Courtesy Clerk in Iowa to assist customers from the register to their vehicle, keep the store clean, stocked, and welcoming for all shoppers. You will bag purchases, help with carts, clear shelves, and support other departments as needed while following Hy-Vee policies.

Role is active, physical, and team-oriented, with on-the-job training provided. Employment is contingent on a pre-employment drug screen and the ability to stay active throughout shifts.

Qualifications

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service as part of a team.

• Perform simple addition and subtraction and count accurately.
• Work well with others to keep the store clean and welcoming.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers with a smile, learning their names, and going out of your way to make every visit a great one.
• Package customer purchases and assist customers in transporting them to their mode of transportation.
• Stock, face, and rotate merchandise, clean shelves, and check prices as needed.
• Shovel, salt, and sand walkways as needed; assist in other areas and in special projects as assigned.
