Hy-Vee, Inc. is seeking a Courtesy Clerk to support customers from the register to their vehicle, keep the store clean, stocked, and welcoming. The role emphasizes active, friendly service, bagging purchases, and helping customers as needed across departments.

The position requires daily daytime shifts, with on-site work in a fast-paced retail environment. Training is provided, and you’ll join a team dedicated to a helpful smile in every aisle.

Qualifications

• No education or experience required; training provided.
• Ability to follow detailed written or verbal instructions and complete tasks with a few concrete variables.
• Ability to perform simple addition and subtraction, copy figures, and count and record accurately.
• Ability to understand and follow directions and communicate supply needs orally or in writing.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers with a smile, learning their names, and making every visit a great one.
• Package purchases and assist customers in transporting them to their vehicles.
• Stock, face, rotate merchandise, clean shelves, and maintain store cleanliness.
• Help train new courtesy clerks
• Deliver product to customers and assist in all departments as needed within wage and hour guidelines
• Shovel, salt, and sand walkways as needed
• Work with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment
