Job summary

American Airlines is seeking a Customer Service Agent to be based in Hawaii, USA. The role involves handling passenger interactions, check-in and boarding assistance, and ensuring safe, efficient ground operations.

Responsibilities include assisting passengers, promoting travel, interpreting travel rules, and coordinating with ground/tower teams. Adhere to safety and policies while working shifts that may include weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education is required.
• FAA background check may be required for security clearance where applicable.
• Bilingual language skills are required for some locations.

Responsibilities

• Interact with passengers and freight forwarders in a courteous, efficient, friendly, and professional manner.
• Promote and sell air travel to passengers and freight forwarders.
• Assist with passenger and freight check-in, boarding, and identification.
• Interpret government rules and requirements for domestic and international travel.
• Meet and dispatch aircraft within scheduled timelines.
• Provide assistance to distressed passengers and customers.
• Protect company property and revenue.
• Ensure safe travel and compliance with internal and external policies.
• Operate jet bridges and stairs as needed for passenger boarding and de-boarding.
• Perform passenger operations functions, including communications with ground and tower.
• Work assigned shifts that may include irregular or extended hours, weekends, and holidays.
• Respond to emergencies and provide assistance as required.
