Job summary

Motion Industries is seeking a Customer Service Representative to accurately fulfill orders and handle customer calls. The role includes responding to inquiries, providing quotes, and processing orders across multiple channels.

You will influence gross profit through pricing within set parameters, maintain inventory levels, and partner with Account Reps to ensure satisfaction. A high school diploma or GED and up to three years related experience are typical requirements.

Qualifications

• Reliability, organization, and attention to detail required.
• Strong communication skills including written, verbal, and listening.
• Ability to multi-task and time management skills required.
• Moderate computer skills, including information processing, emailing and using business systems to find products online.
• Product knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to basic customer inquiries regarding products, provide quotes, and enter orders.
• Place customer orders via phone, fax, email, or walk-in.
• Influence gross profit by negotiating sale and purchase prices within set parameters.
• Adjust non-contract pricing to meet customer demands while maximizing profit.
• Build relationships to drive repeat business and improve processes.
• Order items to maintain appropriate inventory levels for customers.
• Place orders up to $5,000 per line and $10,000 per PO without approval.
• Source products across branch, DC, or supplier inventories.
• Determine cost-effective shipping methods for orders.
• Partner with Account Representatives to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Expedite backorders and prepare orders for shipment.
• Handle customer returns.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
