Job summary

Kirkland's is seeking a Sales Leader in Durham, NC who is customer-obsessed with strong product knowledge and superb presentation skills. You will partner with the Store Manager to execute business plans and lead the team to deliver an outstanding in-store and online shopping experience.

You will coach staff on loyalty programs, promotions and merchandising, drive sales growth, and ensure procedures are followed while modeling professional behavior and a winning attitude.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; college preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of management experience in retail or service preferred.
• Strong communication skills and customer selling experience required.
• Energetic, people- and results-oriented with a drive to succeed.
• Valid driver license and ability to transport funds as needed.
• Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.
• Able to read and interpret company directives, handbooks, and manuals.
• Flexible schedule to meet business needs and work independently or with a team.
• Able to ascend/descend ladders and stock products on shelves or hang banners.
• Must stand and move around store for prolonged periods and communicate with customers.
• Able to move merchandise up to 50 pounds and operate POS devices.

• Manages duties such as opening/closing, team supervision, and daily operations.
• Assists freight processing, stockroom organization, and inventory accuracy.
