Job summary

Kirkland's is seeking a Sales Leader in Greensboro, NC who is customer obsessed with strong product knowledge and visual presentation skills. You will partner with the Store Manager to execute store business plans and guide a team in delivering excellent customer experiences.

You will lead selling efforts in-store and for ship-to-store orders, coach staff on greetings, re-engagement, education, and upselling, and uphold Kirkland's values of customer commitment and a winning attitude.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; college preferred
• Strong communications skills and customer selling experience required
• Energetic, people and results oriented, competitive with a drive to succeed
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings
• Valid Driver license
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs
• Ability to read and interpret company directives, handbook, and manuals
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Must be able to ascend/descend a ladder to retrieve and stock products
• Must be able to stand and move around store for prolonged periods
• Proficient with POS system and handling transactions

Responsibilities

• Leads, supports and values customer selling in-store and online shopping experiences
• Cultivates a customer-obsessed culture that emphasizes greetings, re-engagement, education, upselling, and thanks
• Contributes to understanding store profitability and sales growth
• Reads customer cues to create exceptional in-store experiences
• Educates customers on loyalty programs, promotions and merchandise assortment
• Maintains brand ambassador standards and professional conduct with customers and co-workers
• Supports adherence to company policies and procedures
• Performs Manager on Duty duties including opening/closing and team supervision
• Assists in freight processing, stockroom organization, merchandising and inventory accuracy
