Job summary

CubeSmart is hiring for a Store Operations Associate in the Garfield area. The role emphasizes customer service, daily store operations, and property maintenance to ensure a clean and secure self-storage environment.

You will interact with customers, identify storage needs, and drive leasing while handling payments, merchandising, and routine maintenance tasks. The position requires weekend availability and a valid driver’s license, with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Experience delivering high quality customer service to a diverse customer market.
Self-driven mindset with strong operational focus.
Basic computer skills including MS Office products.
Ability to work Saturdays.
Access to a personal vehicle, valid driver’s license, and up-to-date insurance.
Frequent physical activity including standing, walking, bending, and climbing.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Developing customer relationships by identifying self-storage needs and providing solutions while delivering a standout customer experience.
Interacting face to face with customers and building rapport.
Meeting monthly sales goals and metrics.
Walking the property to perform daily operational tasks including lock checks and showing units to customers.
Renting self-storage units, selling store merchandise, managing the leasing process, accepting payments via POS, and completing daily bank deposits.
Making courtesy calls to customers regarding late payments.
