The role requires proactive engagement with customers and a professional appearance in a fast-paced retail setting. The Sales Associate will support store management, assist with merchandising, handle transactions, and follow company policies on returns, exchanges, and loss prevention.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and percentages.

Responsibilities

• Processes freight.
• Assists with price changes/markdowns.
• Balances register according to company policy.
• Bags merchandise efficiently when completing a customer's transaction.
• Handles all cash, checks and credit cards correctly and by company policy.
• Obtains management approval when needed for returns, voids and checks.
• Handles maintenance and housekeeping duties as assigned.
• Provides proper customer service such as greeting customer, abiding by fitting room policies, ringing customer in a timely fashion, thanking customer for shopping and inviting them to return.
• Follows all safety procedures.
• Keeps a professional, neat appearance and wears a name tag.
• Assists management in merchandising sales floor according to stock level.
• Explains exchange/refund policies to customers after transactions.
• Supports loss prevention procedures and reports incidents as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
