Job summary

CITITRENDS, Inc. is seeking a Sales Associate to deliver excellent customer service and possess knowledge of merchandise to drive satisfaction.

The role requires a proactive, vigilant individual who engages with customers, demonstrates integrity, and communicates effectively in a dynamic retail setting. You will support the Store Operations team, assist with price changes and markdowns, handle transactions, contribute to loss prevention, and help maintain a clean, organized sales floor.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.

Responsibilities

• Processes freight.
• Assisting with price changes/markdowns.
• Balances register according to company policy.
• Bags merchandise efficiently when completing a customer's transaction.
• Handles all cash, checks and credit cards correctly and by company policy.
• Obtains management approval when needed for returns, voids and checks.
• Handles maintenance and housekeeping duties as assigned.
• Provides proper customer service such as greeting customer, abides by fitting room policies, rings customer in a timely fashion, thanks customer for shopping and invites them to return.
• Follows all safety procedures.
• Maintain professional appearance with name tag.
• Assists management in merchandising sales floor according to stock level.
• Explains exchange/refund policies to customers after transactions.
• Supports Loss Prevention procedures, including preventing shoplifting and cash losses, reporting incidents of theft or dishonesty.
