Job summary

CITITRENDS, Inc. is seeking a Sales Associate to deliver excellent customer service and gain merchandise knowledge to achieve customer satisfaction. This role requires a proactive, vigilant approach and engagement with customers in a dynamic retail setting.

The Sales Associate will help build a positive work culture, support change management, and assist Store Management in daily operations within an in-store location.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.

Responsibilities

• Processes freight.
• Assists with price changes/markdowns.
• Balances register according to company policy.
• Bags merchandise efficiently when completing a customer's transaction.
• Handles all cash, checks and credit cards correctly and by company policy.
• Obtains management approval for returns, voids and checks.
• Maintains store cleanliness and housekeeping duties as assigned.
• Provides proper customer service such as greeting customers, guiding fitting room policies, and inviting them to return.
• Follows all safety procedures.
• Maintains professional appearance and wears name tag.
• Assists management in merchandising the sales floor according to stock levels.
• Explains exchange/refund policies to customers after transactions.
• Supports Loss Prevention procedures and reports incidents of theft or dishonesty.
