Job summary

CITITRENDS, Inc. is seeking a Sales Associate to deliver outstanding customer service, know merchandise, and assist with daily retail operations. The role emphasizes proactive engagement with customers, integrity, and clear communication in a fast-paced store environment.

The Sales Associate will contribute to a positive work culture, support change management efforts, and help manage price changes, merchandising, and POS transactions in a dynamic retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations.

Responsibilities

• Processes freight.
• Assisting with price changes/markdowns.
• Balances register according to company policy.
• Bags merchandise efficiently when completing a customer's transaction.
• Handles all cash, checks and credit cards correctly and by company policy.
• Obtains management approval when needed for returns, voids and checks.
• Handles maintenance and housekeeping duties as assigned.
• Provides proper customer service such as greeting customer, abiding by fitting room policies, ringing customer in a timely fashion, thanking customer for shopping and inviting them to return.
• Follows all safety procedures.
• Keeps a professional, neat appearance, including wearing a name tag.
• Assists management in merchandising sales floor according to stock level.
• Explains exchange/refund policies to customers after transactions.
• Assists Store Manager with Loss Prevention procedures, including preventing shoplifting and cash losses, reporting incidents of theft or dishonesty and following all current operational policies.
• Performs other duties as may be assigned.
