Job summary

Dollar General is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help maintain a clean, customer-focused store. You will assist with supervision, merchandise presentation, deposits, and cash handling while supporting the Store Manager.

The role includes stocking, cashiering, scheduling, training, and ensuring policy compliance to maximize profitability and minimize losses. A high school diploma and retail supervisory experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as diagrams, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet customers and operate cash register.
• Open and close the store at least two days per week.
• Assist with scheduling, training, safety meetings, and policy compliance.
• Manage merchandise with receiving, stocking, display, and planograms.
• Maintain accurate inventory and cash controls; deposits and refunds.
• Assist in store operations in the manager's absence.
