Dollar General seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support a customer-first store environment. Under Store Manager direction, you will supervise staff, oversee merchandise presentation, and assist with deposits and cash controls.

You will help schedule and train employees, ensure planograms are followed, and support store leadership in the Manager's absence, maintaining profitability and loss prevention. High school diploma preferred; retail and supervisory experience valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment and six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Effective interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to perform cash register functions and generate reports.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedures.

Responsabilités

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers, and operate cash register and scanner to itemize purchases.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist Store Manager with scheduling employees and providing training.
• Manage merchandise: receiving, stocking, restocking, and displays according to planograms.
• Maintain accurate inventory by controlling damages, markdowns, scanning, and paperwork.
• Ensure cash accountability and deposit procedures; assist with refunds and overrides as needed.
• Assist with store leadership in the Manager's absence.
