Job summary

Carter’s is hiring an Assistant Store Manager to lead a welcoming team and deliver exceptional service. You’ll guide staff in product knowledge, customer engagement, and store operations to meet KPIs and sales targets.

You’ll partner with the Store Manager on recruiting, training, and merchandising, while ensuring a safe, inclusive environment for customers and associates. This role supports a strong, growing brand presence.

Qualifications

• 1 year of retail or related management experience.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Strong leadership and customer engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute workforce management to maintain a customer-focused sales floor.
• Welcome customers and assist with product styles, features, and benefits.
• Foster an inclusive environment for employees and customers.
• Coach others to meet service standards and omnichannel goals.
• Analyze business performance and communicate KPIs with the team.
• Support Store Manager in recruiting, hiring, and developing staff.
• Plan merchandising standards, promotions, and product placement.
• Help reduce loss through service, education, and controls.
