Job summary

Carter's is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in a retail environment. You will lead the sales floor with a customer-first approach, coach team members, and support store operations to meet business KPIs.

A background in retail management and strong communication are essential. You will engage customers with Carter's baby and children’s lines, participate in recruiting and training, and help drive merchandising and loss-prevention efforts.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of retail or related management experience.
• A high school diploma or GED.
• Proficient computer and technology skills (Outlook, Excel, Web navigation, etc.)
• Availability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays with at least two closing shifts per week.

Responsibilities

• Execute workforce management to ensure a genuine customer focus on the sales floor.
• Welcome customers with a warm greeting and assist with product styles and benefits.
• Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive environment for employees and customers.
• Coach others to meet service standards and KPIs.
• Assist Store Manager in recruiting, training, and development of store team.
