Job summary

ITP (International Talent Partnership) is seeking an Applications Engineer to be the technical face for rack-based BBU and distributed power solutions with customers in the US. You will lead solution discussions, run design reviews and translate customer needs into build direction.

This remote role requires strong power engineering background, hands-on experience with UPS, battery systems and system-level design, plus willingness to travel nationally to customer sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Customer-facing engineering experience with the ability to communicate complex power solutions to engineers and decision-makers.
• Background in UPS, in-rack single-phase UPS, DC-to-DC power conversion or related power-electronics domains.
• Working knowledge of battery systems: BMS, fuel-gauging and cell chemistry.
• Ability to design rack-level power solutions integrated into a customer's power architecture.
• Experience in hyperscale, colocation, enterprise or server/storage power environments.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical point of contact across the sales cycle: leading solution discussions, running design reviews and defending the technical approach in front of customer engineering teams
• Build credible, deep relationships with power architects and system designers at leading hyperscale, OEM and infrastructure accounts
• Capture and interpret the voice of the customer, then translate it into clear direction for the internal engineering and product teams
• Shape rack-level BBU and distributed UPS solutions around each customer's load, form‑factor, redundancy and ride‑through requirements: from first concept through to design win
• Support bid and proposal activity with the technical content and credibility needed to win with sophisticated engineering buyers
• Travel nationally to customer sites to stay close to the market's evolving needs
