Job summary

Thomson Power Systems (TPS) is seeking a Sales Application Engineer for the Data Center vertical to support product strategy and GTM efforts. This hands-on role collaborates with Product Management, Engineering, and Sales to shape solutions for critical infrastructure.

Based remotely in the United States with up to 40% travel, you will engage customers, channel partners, and internal teams to translate market needs into requirements for switchgear, ATS, and modular power solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or related technical field.
• 3–5+ years in a technical, product, or applications engineering role within electrical power systems or related industries.
• Strong understanding of power distribution equipment (switchgear, ATS, modular power solutions) and knowledge of relevant standards.

Responsibilities

• Define product requirements, enhancements, and long‑term roadmap priorities for the Data Center vertical.
• Conduct field research, customer interviews, and competitive analysis to identify emerging needs in switchgear, ATS, modular power, and critical power distribution.
• Translate customer and market insights into actionable product specifications and business cases.
• Support customer engagements, technical discussions, and solution positioning with Data Center Business Development Managers.
• Develop GTM strategies, value propositions, and sales tools for infrastructure applications.
• Provide product training, technical support, and application guidance to sales teams, channel partners, and end users.
