Job summary

ABB Electrification seeks a Customer Application Engineer to design and validate critical power and building electrification solutions for the North American market. You will bridge R&D and customers, shaping applications that meet market needs and drive product strategy with OEMs.

You will coordinate with internal teams for roadmaps, support testing and validation, and contribute to digital marketing and technical campaigns. Willingness to travel up to 20% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering; master's preferred.
• Experience in product development and new product introduction.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and ability to read diagrams.
• Proven ability to work in agile teams and lead cross-functional efforts.
• Willingness to travel domestically up to 20%.

Responsibilities

• Develop applications and solutions for critical power and building electrification.
• Engage with US-based OEMs to collect requirements and analyze market trends.
• Coordinate with R&D, product management and digital teams on roadmaps.
• Support validation, testing, and optimization of applications.
• Assist in digital marketing campaigns and customer-facing materials.
• Contribute to strategic market planning and industry collaborations.
