Job summary

Dematic Corp. is seeking a Controls Engineer for Technical Support, night shift, to work directly with customers in the material handling industry.

You will diagnose and resolve issues using schematics and PLC logic, ensuring flawless performance of complex systems. You will troubleshoot hardware and electrical problems, collaborate with teams, and deliver clear guidance to customers across remote and on-site sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 1+ years' experience in a related field providing customer service support.
• Experience with Allen Bradley and Schneider PLC controls platforms.
• Expertise in controls hardware troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting.
• Strong customer service mentality.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the support of semi-complex systems that integrate hardware and software.
• Provide support in semi-complex material specification, schematic troubleshooting and follow-up.
• Recommend ideas for efficiency, cost reduction and customer happiness.
• Offer outstanding troubleshooting expertise to customers.
• Travel between 20-30% to different customer locations, including weekends and overtime.
