Job summary

Lumen Technologies is seeking an experienced API Technology Architect to guide customers in API-driven automation, integration design, and field enablement. You will bridge technical architecture with seller support, crafting sustainable API solutions and reusable patterns.

As a customer-facing expert, you will lead discovery, document integrations, and collaborate across teams to ensure secure, scalable API deployments that align with customer goals and Lumen’s product strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in technical pre-sales, solution/API architecture or related fields.
• Experience leading technical discovery and translating requirements into designs.
• Knowledge of API authentication/authorization concepts, including OAuth 2.0.
• Strong written and verbal communication with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage multiple customer engagements and enablement artifacts.
• Customer-facing role with travel may be required.
