Job summary

The Michaels Companies in New York state is seeking a part-time Retail Customer Service Team Member to assist customers, operate the checkout, and keep the store well-stocked and welcoming. You will help customers find products, enroll them in rewards, and support Omni channel processes such as Buy Online Pickup in Store and Ship From Store.

This role emphasizes courteous interaction, adherence to SOPs, and a commitment to a safe, organized shopping environment.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks (lifting, stocking).
• Willingness to work nights, weekends and early mornings.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly customer service and assist customers in-store.
• Handle fast, accurate checkout with standard cash handling.
• Assist with truck unloading, stocking, and planograms.
• Support Omni channel processes including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Cross-train in Custom Framing selling and production.
• Maintain store cleanliness and participate in stock replenishment and returns processes.
