Job summary

Michaels is hiring at its New York store (N. Huntington) for a customer-oriented role focused on helping shoppers, processing quick checkouts, and promoting rewards programs.

The position emphasizes friendly service, accurate cash handling, and active engagement in omnichannel retail initiatives. Team members will contribute to stocking, merchandising, and store recovery while maintaining SOPs and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Able to stand for long periods and move throughout the store.
• Able to follow SOPs and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions
• Provide fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards
• Engage customers on the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and enrollments
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey
• Assist with Omni channel processes (BOPIS and SFS)
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram duties
• Maintain store recovery and in-stock conditions; manage merchandise returns
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization and AD set duties
• Support shrink and safety programs
• Adhere to SOPs and company policies; project a positive image
• Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production
• Other duties as assigned
