Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. in Yorktown Heights, NY is hiring a retail Team Member to deliver friendly customer service, assist shoppers, and keep the store well-stocked and checkout fast.

You will engage customers, participate in BOPIS/SFS, support Merchandising and SOPs, and help maintain a safe, welcoming environment across the store while following company programs and policies. Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred
• Ability to stand for long periods and move around the store

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards
• Engage customers on the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS)
• Participate in the truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes
• Responsible to complete merchandise recovery and maintenance including the merchandise return / go back process
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned
• Support shrink and safety programs
• Adhere to SOPs and Company policies to ensure compliance with laws and requirements
• Interact with others in a positive, respectful manner and serve as a role model for team members
• Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production
