Job summary

CarMax in Springfield, Illinois is seeking a Customer Specialist to guide customers through the car-buying and selling journey, including appraisals, test drives, and financing applications, with an emphasis on honesty and a seamless, transparent experience. You will support customers across steps and coordinate with teams to ensure accurate paperwork and smooth service.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to follow processes and maintain accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Guide customers through sales, appraisals, test drives, and financing applications.
• Document vehicle conditions and communicate findings to Buyers.
• Manage inventory check-in, scanning, and reconciliation.
• Conduct cosmetic inspections to meet CarMax Quality Standards.
• Handle paperwork, reports, and payments.
• Coordinate service appointments and review repair invoices for billing accuracy.
• Maintain EH&S requirements and keep work area clean.
