Orkin LLC is seeking a Customer Service Specialist in Portsmouth, VA to deliver top-tier service and support fielded requests, scheduling visits, and maintaining efficient routes for our pest-control team.

The role emphasizes empathy, accuracy, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment, with a starting pay of $19 per hour and a robust benefits package including health, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid leave.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Customer Service or Sales preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Basic computer skills in various software and web-based applications.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Strong attention to detail and follow through.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls and make outbound calls to customers to schedule, confirm and follow up on service appointments.
• Proficiently navigate a Windows-based & Web-based system to track routes and optimize schedules.
• Schedule appointments for technicians to minimize drive time and distance and suggest alternative routes when needed.
• Identify customer concerns through listening and questioning, and evaluate their needs.
• Maintain accurate customer information in the database, including call details and outcomes.
• Reschedule unserviced accounts within 24 hours.
• Participate in quality assurance processes and company initiatives.
• Safeguard customer privacy and proprietary information.
