Job summary

CarMax is hiring a Customer Specialist in Training in Amarillo to deliver a trusted, customer-first experience throughout the vehicle journey. You’ll support sales, appraisals, and servicing while learning CarMax processes in a fast-paced environment.

You will perform vehicle inspections, manage paperwork, and coordinate service appointments, all while upholding CarMax values of honesty and integrity.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and read/transcribe data accurately.
• Strong communication and customer-service mindset are essential.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated integrity, respect and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service by guiding customers through sales, appraisals, test drives, and financing applications.
• Conduct accurate vehicle condition assessments and document appraisal details.
• Manage inventory processes including vehicle check-in, daily scanning, and reconciliation.
• Perform cosmetic inspections to meet CarMax Quality Standards.
• Handle administrative tasks such as printing reports, paperwork, and payments.
• Coordinate service appointments and review repair invoices for billing accuracy.
• Follow CarMax EH&S requirements and maintain a clean work area.
