Job summary

CarMax in Salem, Oregon is seeking a Customer Specialist to guide customers through the car-buying and selling journey with honesty and transparency. You’ll handle appraisals, test drives, paperwork, and service coordination to ensure a smooth, customer-focused experience.

You will collaborate across teams to resolve issues, manage inventory processes, and maintain CarMax Quality Standards while following EH&S guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and a valid driver's license.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships.
• Ability to balance multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and read/transcribe data.

Responsibilities

• Guide customers through sales, appraisals, test drives, and financing.
• Conduct vehicle condition assessments for appraisals.
• Manage inventory processes and document check-in.
• Perform cosmetic inspections to CarMax Quality Standards.
• Handle paperwork, payments, and service appointments.
• Coordinate repairs and ensure cross-team collaboration.
• Follow EH&S requirements and keep area clean.
