Job summary

CarMax is hiring a Customer Specialist to guide customers through car buying and selling journeys with transparency and support. You will facilitate appraisals, test drives, paperwork, and repair orders while collaborating across teams to ensure a smooth, customer-focused experience.

You will communicate effectively, build lasting customer relationships, and uphold CarMax EH&S standards. The role involves handling multiple tasks, data entry, and payments in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in paperwork and data entry.
• Comfort with using Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service through sales, appraisals, test drives, and financing applications.
• Conduct vehicle condition assessments and document findings for appraisals.
• Manage inventory processes including vehicle check-in, scanning, and reconciliation.
• Perform cosmetic inspections to meet CarMax Quality Standards.
• Handle administrative tasks such as printing reports, maintaining paperwork, and processing payments.
• Coordinate service appointments and review repair order invoices for billing accuracy.
