Job summary

Nordstrom, Inc is seeking a customer-focused team member to provide friendly service, resolve returns, support order pickup, and process transactions accurately. You will mentor new employees on the register and help sustain a positive store environment.

Hours vary, including evenings and weekends. You will build relationships with customers and teammates, troubleshoot concerns with empathy, and promote loyalty programs and new tools.

Qualifications

• Strong ability to build relationships with customers, peers, and leaders.
• Proficiency in multiple operating systems such as MS Windows, iOS and Android.
• Clear, effective communication and strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to train and deliver POS/register training to support onboarding of new hires.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong ownership, accountability, and follow-through.

Responsibilities

• Deliver seamless, friendly service by understanding customer needs and owning interactions from start to finish, whether resolving returns and exchanges, or supporting order and pickup inquiries.
• Troubleshoot and resolve customer concerns with empathy, sound judgment, and a solutions-focused approach.
• Accurately process transactions and ticketing using POS and store systems to support inventory accuracy.
• Build relationships with teammates and contribute to a positive, team-focused environment.
• Protect the security and privacy of customer information through education, compliance and resolution of issues.
• Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Loyalty program, along with new tools, software, and services that enhance the customer and employee experience.
