Job summary

Motion Industries in Philadelphia is seeking a Customer Service Representative under close supervision to accurately fulfill customer orders and manage incoming calls.

In this role you will respond to inquiries, enter orders by phone, fax, email, or walk-in, negotiate prices within policy, and help maintain inventory and shipping arrangements while supporting sales teams and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED and 0–3 years of related experience.
• Reliability, organization, and attention to detail are essential.
• Strong communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Proficient with business systems and basic Internet searches for product info.
• Product knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to basic customer inquiries regarding products and quotes and handle order entry.
• Place customer orders via telephone, fax, email, or walk-in (counter sales).
• Influence gross profit by negotiating sale and purchase prices within policy.
• Adjust non-contract pricing to meet customer needs while maximizing profit.
• Build customer relationships to drive repeat business and improve processes.
• Maintain inventory levels and source products from appropriate inventories.
• Determine cost-effective shipping methods for orders and assist with shipments.
• Collaborate with Account Representatives to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Expedite backorders and pull inventory for shipment as needed.
• Handle customer returns as required.
