Job summary

Five Below is seeking a capable retail leader to wow customers and train crew in delivering fast, friendly checkout experiences. You will help drive store performance, maintain brand standards on merchandising and front-end operations, and assist in recruiting and coaching team members.

You will step in for the Store Manager when needed, ensuring store readiness, safety, and excellent service while managing flexible scheduling and ongoing communication with leadership and staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• College experience preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and think creatively.
• Maintain composure under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Wows customers through personal contact and trains crew on the BEST customer service experience.
• Lead assigned store to achieve customer service score goals set by the District Manager.
• Oversee front end operations and merchandising to meet brand standards.
• Ensure front-end equipment is in working order and crews are trained.
• Lead opening/closing procedures, store cleanliness, and stock room readiness.
• Provide coverage for store manager duties in their absence.
• Recruit, train, coach, and supervise crew members in collaboration with the Store Manager.
• Engage with corporate communications and respond appropriately.
• Collaborate with the leadership team on merchandising and recovery strategies.
• Perform general store maintenance and housekeeping tasks.
