Job summary

The TJX Companies, Inc. in Virginia Beach is seeking a front-end supervisor to foster an outstanding customer experience and lead a team of Associates on the sales floor.

You will model service excellence, train others, and ensure compliance with store policies while supporting loyalty programs. Responsibilities include POS coverage, merchandising, communication with management, and coaching staff to deliver personalized service.

Qualifications

• 1 year retail experience
• 6 months of leadership experience
• Strong understanding of merchandising techniques
• Capable of multi-tasking
• Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail
• Able to train others
• Team player, works well with peers and supervisors
• Able to respond to changes in direction or unexpected situations

Responsibilities

• Promote excellent customer experience and oversee Associates at front of store
• Lead by example and model outstanding customer service
• Train and mentor Associates on front end principles
• Assign registers and coordinate breaks for all Associates
• Promote loyalty and credit programs
• Ensure adherence to labor laws, policies and procedures
• Support and participate in shrink reduction goals and safety initiatives
• Provide timely progress updates to management
