Job summary

Michaels in Alexandria, VA is seeking a Store Associate to deliver friendly customer service, help shoppers locate products, and handle checkout quickly and accurately. You will participate in truck unloads, stocking, and maintaining in-stock, well-merchandised aisles.

You’ll assist with the Rewards program enrollment, Buy Online Pickup in Store, and Ship From Store processes, while following SOPs and safety guidelines. Shifts require standing and occasional lifting.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide them with solutions.
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards.
• Engage customers on the Rewards program and enroll them in Private Label Credit Cards.
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey.
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
• Maintain merchandise in-stock and well-merchandised; manage returns/go-backs.
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned.
• Support shrink and safety programs; follow SOPs and company policies.
• Interact professionally with customers and teammates; uphold company values.
