Job summary

Family Dollar seeks a Customer Service Associate to provide a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle sales at the cash register, and help stock the store while maintaining cleanliness and safety.

The role emphasizes friendly, professional interactions with customers and colleagues in a retail setting. The position requires basic customer service experience, the ability to lift 30–50 lbs, and strong organizational skills to keep aisles stocked and the store presentable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operating documents.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, and other physical tasks.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills required.
• Willingness to maintain a clean, safe, and presentable store environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions on the assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and team members.
• Maintain cleanliness, restock bathrooms, sweep and mop floors, and take out trash.
