Job summary

Family Dollar LLC is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle sales at the register, protect cash and assets, and help stock and recover merchandise. The role emphasizes a clean, safe, and friendly store atmosphere with teamwork.

The position offers part-time hours and requires strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills, along with the ability to lift 30–50 lbs and perform various store duties as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Must follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and endure frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and company assets.
• Keep the store stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and unload trucks for stock replenishment.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and presentable store environment.
• Other duties as assigned.
