Job summary

Amcor in Evansville, IN seeks a Customer Care Specialist focused on servicing customers on-time and in-full. This role handles timely order entry, accurate acknowledgment to customers, load creation for carrier planning, and proactive communication on order status.

You will manage mid‑ to large customer accounts and partner with plant schedulers to meet commitments. The position emphasizes process improvement, cross-functional teamwork, and maintaining Amcor’s safety and quality standards while

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in management, sales, marketing, or supply chain.
• 3–5 years of customer service experience in a fast-moving consumer or manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data.
• JDE, Cognos, or Tableau proficiency is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and related Office applications.
• Effective communication with customers, both external and internal.

Responsibilities

• Order Entry – Ensures customer order is encoded accurately and on-time.
• Order Acknowledgement – Ensures orders are acknowledged and communicated back within 24 hours.
• Order Status Communication – Communicates ship dates and status, at least 1 week prior to ship date.
• Demand Management and Control - Collaborates with Plant Schedulers to align demand and scheduling.
• Order Fulfilment Process Improvement – Identifies opportunities to simplify day-to-day routines.
• Service Risks Mitigation – Escalates risks and issues with proper channels and resolutions.
• Lead and participate on departmental and cross functional teams and projects.
• Provides backup for Key Customer Care Specialists.
