Job summary

Mojave Foods, a unit featured under McCormick & Company, is seeking a Customer Business Manager I for Northern California. This role leads customer plans, negotiates deals, and drives sales across stores and channels in the Northern CA region.

You will own territory objectives, develop forecasts, manage trade budgets, and work with cross-functional teams to optimize retail performance. A strong background in sales, negotiation, and analytics is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 6 years related experience in lieu of degree.
• Minimum 4 years in Sales or as a Broker/Buyer in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry, with at least 2 years in the food or beverage manufacturing industry
• Minimum 2 years of experience managing a retail customer base in the food and/or beverage manufacturing industry

Responsibilities

• Own customer & territory objectives including sales volume, customer business plans, trade budgets, sales forecasts and execution of retail controllables.
• Identify and build out white space business – new customers, new channels, new segments
• Develops and delivers customer plans to achieve volume and profit objectives
• Delivers short & long-term solutions through best practice thought leadership
• Primary and day-to-day selling interface at customer HQ penetrating highest levels within the selling/customer organization
• Develop and own accurate forecast across customer base and brands
• Sell-in of retail controllables with customer--mix, promotion, shelf, display
• Customer deal negotiations for volume and discount contracts.
• Evaluate complex situations using multiple sources of information
• Maintain awareness of store conditions and current & best practices
