Job summary

Aaron's is seeking a Customer Accounts Advisor in Rockford, IL. The role focuses on coaching customers to maximize ownership of merchandise, driving payment collections and lease renewals, and building strong customer relationships over the phone and in-person.

The position offers an hourly rate of $16.25–$17.00 with eligibility for performance-based incentive pay, plus a comprehensive benefits package. On-demand pay, PTO, health benefits, and plan options support employee well-being.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old in the United States.
• Must have valid driver’s license and comply with Driver Qualification Policy.
• May require DOT certification depending on location.
• Schedule varies from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm.
• Lift up to 50 lbs on your own and up to 300 lbs with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Customer Accounts Manager in achieving daily, weekly and monthly revenue and renewal goals.
• Maintain accurate customer account records in the store system.
• Build strong customer relationships to support ownership goals and drive sales.
• Manage collections and renewals by counseling customers and contacting those with expired or unrenewed agreements by phone or home visits.
• Assist with merchandise returns and guest deliveries as directed by management.
• Maintain accurate daily route sheets and weekly maintenance sheets.
• Load, secure product and safely operate the company vehicle.
• Clean and certify returned merchandise.
