Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. is seeking a Store Lead in Lafayette, LA to supervise and coach a framing team, drive custom framing sales, and deliver memorable customer solutions.

You will work closely with the Store Manager to ensure SOPs, policies, and inventory controls are followed while maintaining a positive store environment. Responsibilities include team development, on‑the‑job training, and serving as Manager on Duty (MOD) to support daily operations, safety, and customer service

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills.
• Previous custom framing experience preferred.
• Retail management experience preferred.
• Experience leading a sales team preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach a team of framers to drive custom framing sales and build customer relationships.
• Assist Store Manager in adherence to SOPs and Company programs and ensure policy execution.
• Plan workload with Store Manager to deliver high‑quality framing solutions on time.
• Manage inventory, shrink and safety programs and ensure store conditions meet standards.
• Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD) and participate in hiring, onboarding, and training of new team members.
