Michaels Stores in Slidell, LA is seeking a capable Store Manager on Duty to drive custom framing sales and mentor the framing team.

You will partner with the Store Manager to plan workload, uphold SOPs and company programs, assist with interviewing and training, and ensure high-quality framing solutions for customers. The role requires leadership, KPI focus, and a positive store presence.

Qualifications

• Retail management experience is required or preferred.
• Experience in custom framing is preferred.
• Leadership experience with sales teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in ensuring SOPs and company programs are followed and store standards met.
• Develop and coach selling behaviors of the team.
• Lead delivery of high-quality custom framing solutions on time by workload planning with the Store Manager.
• Achieve KPI targets and manage framing team to meet them.
• Review sales and production workload and plan floor time for networking.
• Manage inventory, shrink and safety programs.
• Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD).
• Participate in interviewing, onboarding, coaching and performance management.
• Partner with MODs on framing expectations and store operations.
• Promote a positive image and uphold the organization’s vision and values.
• Assist with truck unload and stocking to maintain standards and budgets.
• Follow SOPs and ensure a safe environment.
• Acknowledge customers and assist with Omni-channel processes.
