Job summary

The Michaels Companies, Inc. is seeking a Store Lead to manage a framing team in a busy retail store. You will coach framers, drive custom framing sales, and ensure exceptional customer experiences while delivering on store KPIs.

You will oversee SOP adherence, training, and daily operations as MOD, with responsibilities spanning inventory, safety, and Omni-channel processes. This role requires strong people leadership in a retail environment.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills.
• Previous custom framing experience preferred.
• Retail management experience.
• Experience leading a sales team.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading and managing adherence to SOPs and Company programs to ensure compliance with laws and requirements; ensure execution of policies and standards; hold team accountable for store conditions and results.
• Develop and coach the team selling behaviors.
• Lead the delivery of high-quality custom framing solutions to customers on time by planning workload with the Store Manager.
• Achieve KPIs and manage the framing team to achieve their role KPI’s.
• Review sales and production workload and build plans and sales floor time for networking.
• Manage and execute the inventory management processes as assigned.
• Manage and execute shrink and safety programs.
• Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD).
• Assist with interviewing, onboarding, coaching, observing and training of new Team members; support Talent Development; participate in Performance Mgmt activities; use leadership competencies for self-development.
