Job summary

The Michaels Companies in Slidell, LA is seeking a Framing Manager to lead our frame shop and sales team. You will partner with the Store Manager to ensure SOP compliance, drive framing projects on time, and deliver exceptional custom framing solutions for customers.

You will coach and develop staff, manage workloads, monitor KPIs, and uphold inventory, safety, and Omni-channel processes. This on-site role requires strong leadership and a customer-first mindset in a busy retail environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a retail sales team.
• Ability to coach and develop staff.
• Strong customer service mindset.
• Familiarity with framing products is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading and managing SOP adherence and company programs.
• Develop and coach the team selling behaviors.
• Lead the delivery of high-quality custom framing solutions to customers on time.
• Achieve KPI targets and manage framing team performance.
• Review sales and production workload; plan staffing and sales floor time.
• Manage inventory, shrink and safety programs.
• Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD).
• Assist with interviewing, onboarding, coaching and training of new team members.
• Partner with MODs on framing expectations; promote respectful teamwork.
• Acknowledge customers, help locate products, and provide solutions.
• Participate in truck unload and stocking processes and Omni-channel processes.
