The ideal candidate has culinary experience, stands for long shifts, can handle hot and cold kitchen environments, and is proficient in multiple cooking techniques as well as menu preparation per hotel standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; hotel or related field experience preferred.
• Culinary experience required.
• Flexible, long hours may be required.
• Stand for long shifts.
• Able to work in hot and cold environments.
• Know menus and preparation per hotel standards.
• Proficient in charbroiling, poaching, deep-frying, sauté, braising, roasting, par-cooking.
• Knowledge of herbs and spices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage areas.
• Prepare food prior to opening to ensure timely service.
• Prepare and display buffet items per standards.
• Ensure food quality and safety; minimize waste.
• Maintain sanitary kitchen environment and equipment.
• Prepare foods for Banquets and Employee Cafeteria as needed.
• Follow hotel standard recipes; assist other kitchen positions.
• Break down buffets and kitchen line; store items properly.
