Job summary

Kessler Hotels in Savannah is seeking an experienced Cook to prepare all food items from standardized recipes for Restaurants, Room Service, Employee Cafeteria and Banquets, while upholding the highest quality and presentation standards.

You will maintain a clean, sanitized kitchen, assist with banquet prep, and ensure safe handling and storage of food in accordance with Health Department regulations. This role is based in Savannah, within a luxury hotel context.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required or preferred.
• Culinary experience is required.
• Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
• Medium work — lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally; standing for long periods.
• Knowledge of menus and standard recipes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all food items based on standardized recipes.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in kitchen areas.
• Prepare food for Banquets and Room Service as needed.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and rotation of food items.
• Follow Health Department regulations and hotel standards.
