Job summary

Kessler Collection is seeking a dedicated Cook for the JW Marriott Savannah Plant Riverside District in Savannah, GA. The role involves preparing items for Restaurants, Room Service, Employee Cafeteria and Banquets, while upholding the highest standards of quality and safety.

The position requires culinary experience, ability to work flexible hours, and standing for long periods. The kitchen team emphasizes teamwork, cost-conscious preparation, and adherence to health regulations in a busy hotel

Qualifications

Culinary experience required.
High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
Ability to stand during entire shift.
Knowledge of menus and hotel standards.
Proficiency in cooking techniques such as broiling, poaching, deep-frying, sautéing, braising, roasting, and par-cooking.

Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness and organization of all storage areas.
Prepare and display buffet food items according to hotel standards.
Prepare food for Banquets and Employee Cafeteria as specified by Chef.
Follow all Health Department and Company regulations for food safety.
Prepare all foods following hotel standard recipes; assist in kitchen as needed.
Operate and maintain cleanliness of all kitchen equipment.
