Job summary

Sur La Table in the United States seeks a Culinary Lead to inspire customers on the culinary journey, blending talent with business acumen and teaching skills to support the Resident Chef in driving results and staffing culinary employees.

You will train and coach staff, ensure sanitary kitchen conditions, and help implement sales plans while coordinating with HR and other departments to maintain high standards.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years progressively responsible kitchen operations or kitchen management experience.
• Culinary degree or equivalent Sous Chef experience considered in lieu of degree.
• Valid Food Handlers / Food Managers Certification.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Demonstrated successful teaching and training experience.

Responsibilities

• Models and directs employees to ensure customer service standards are met.
• Delivers and holds employees accountable for an exceptional cooking class experience.
• Supports and delivers training for all employees.
• Maintains sanitary kitchen conditions and proper storage and prep procedures.
• Coaches employees with in-the-moment feedback and drives sales plans.
