Job summary

Sur La Table in the United States is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support our chefs, engage guests, and ensure a clean, organized kitchen during classes and events.

You’ll contribute to smooth class operations, deliver friendly customer experiences, and uphold food safety standards while handling prep, setup, and cleanup. Flexibility for 12–16 hours weekly including nights and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age or older.
• 1 year retail sales experience, preferred.
• 1 year food prep and/or kitchen operations experience, preferred.
• Valid Food Handlers Certification.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Represent Sur La Table’s brand by delivering memorable, educational experiences that inspire guest loyalty.
• Assist chefs with class execution and drive positive guest feedback.
• Meet or exceed monthly class enrollment and revenue goals through high-quality service.
• Maintain inventory, food safety, and cleanliness to support smooth kitchen operations.
