Job summary

Sur La Table is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support chefs, engage guests, and ensure smooth class operations in a dynamic retail kitchen environment.

Ideal candidates will be passionate about cooking, teamwork, and providing exceptional customer experiences while maintaining a clean, organized workspace and following safety guidelines. This role is on-site and part-time with flexible scheduling, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• 1 year retail sales experience preferred.
• 1 year food prep and/or kitchen operations experience preferred.
• Valid Food Handlers Certification.

Responsibilities

• Represent Sur La Table’s brand and culture by creating memorable, educational experiences for guests.
• Assist in class execution and help drive enrollment and positive feedback.
• Maintain a clean, organized kitchen and assist with mise en place and sanitation.
• Support store readiness, stock, and equipment upkeep while upholding safety standards.
